This Dixon BS63N brass complete King short suction coupling set with brass nut is suitable for joining suction or discharge hoses of the same size in a straight run. Each half of the coupling has a barb for push-on connection to a hose with a 1-1/2" inside diameter (ID) and a National Standard Taper (NST) threaded connection in the middle for joining the two hoses. This fitting is made of brass for corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability. The barbed fitting creates a tight seal on flexible and semi-rigid tubing when used with a hose clamp, crimp sleeve, or ferrule (not included). This fitting includes a rubber gasket for high elasticity and resistance to abrasion and impact forces. This King short shank suction coupling is suitable for use in suction or discharge applications.
Hose fittings connect, control, change the direction of, and terminate the flow in piping and hose systems. They are made of brass, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and other materials that resist corrosion, pressure, and wear. Hose fittings have various types of connections, including threaded, barbed, push-to-connect, dry disconnect, and others including those based on internationally-accepted specifications. Hose fittings are used in systems such as air compressors, automatic manufacturing operations, aircraft controls, and tire installation in industries including agriculture, mining, road construction, firefighting, and aviation.
